Only 50 titles in the Adventure Series were published between September 1948 and June 1963. All were full colour card cover booklets, with all but the first three featuring two Rupert stories, with different puzzles. Most of the stories were specifically written for this, however a few stories from older published Rupert annuals were utilised in some issues.
Some of the original stories featured in the Adventure Series have since been appeared in later Rupert Annuals. The illustrators of this series included Enid Ash and Alex Cubie, sometimes with additions from Alfred Bestall.
As the Series came to an end, fewer and fewer copies were being printed. Therefore it is the later numbers in the series, especially No. 50, that are the most difficult to find and are the most expensive to buy. Sadly we don't have the full collection - but we do have quite a few!
If nothing else - just read the titles of the stories. What an imagination you must have to come up with some of these!
