Shopping with The Official Classic Rupert Bear Shop:

You can order books or products on this web-site and pay for them on-line or by phone. If you have placed your order on-line, we will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order. The email confirmation will be produced automatically in order to provide confirmation of your order details.

You may pay using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, or Delta . To ensure that shopping on-line is secure, your credit/debit details will be encrypted to minimize the possibility of someone being able to read your details as they are sent to us over the Internet.

The prices displayed on our web site are in British pounds. We only debit money from your credit/debit card account very close to or on the day of despatch - (Unless otherwise specified) Value of price conversion to your own currency, if an overseas buyer, will be the exchange rate of the day set by your own bank or credit card company.

This is very important, so please note.

Your bank statement will show the charge Company as Express N/Paper Truro.  This covers the Classic Rupert Bear shop as we are one of the same Company.   These details are also shown on the bottom of your enclosed invoice. If you report your transaction as potential fraud as you do not recognise the name, and the transaction is not fraudulent there will be a charge of £15.00 for which you will become liable for in addition to the return of the original amount due to our Company. You must take note of where and from whom you make purchases - and READ the paperwork enclosed in your parcel. 

Delivery & Shipping Costs

Due to the recent changes in Royal Mail pricing and proportion policy, and the three price rises in the past year, we find we now have to make a delivery charge for each item. Each ‘Item’ therefore has an individual delivery cost attached to it.

Outlying parts of the UK, such as The Highlands of Scotland, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands have the same benefits as The UK Mainland where their orders weigh under 2kg packed.  However, when all items collectively are in excess of 2 KG, these items may be split and delivered seperately.

As we do not charge at time of ordering, this amount is easily adjusted before despatch. We will endeavour to deliver goods to destinations in the UK within 7-10 working days. Overseas postage is charged at cost.


In the unlikely event of your goods being delivered faulty or damaged in any way, you must contact us on the date of delivery. Any packages being delivered to you that are obviously damaged and the contents broken, then we ask that you refuse delivery and make contact with us. Please inform Royal Mail or the delivery courier that it is to be sent to the return address on the package. We ask that you mark the paperwork as 'Refused' and 'Damaged Parcel'. Should your parcel be intact, but on opening the contents are found to be broken or faulty, we ask that you make contact immediately. Claims made for goods received damaged, made after any undue time has passed will not be entertained.

Should you wish to return your purchase for a refund, you are responsible for your own shipping costs. (To comply with your mail order rights, you must contact us within 7 days to make the arrangement. After this time returns cannot be accepted.) The goods must be sent back and received in MINT CONDITION. This applies to the article itself and any packaging. The goods must be insured sufficiently to cover the cost of replacement if lost or damaged. This applies to all returns without exception. All returns must be notified and logged with us before being sent by you. We require the tracking details of the package, whether it be by Royal Mail Special Delivery or by Courier Service. Any goods received that are not in a fit state, will not be refunded by us. You will be informed in order that you may have the piece sent back to you at your own cost and so that you may claim for the damage from your own carrier.

Delivery and packing charges for all goods purchased from the Official Classic Rupert Bear Shop are charged seperately. Therefore any goods returned that were purchased and subsequently unwanted will be at goods cost only. This applies to all such returns without exception. Any unauthorised returns will not be accepted or credited.
